DARK TRIAD PERSONALITY IN EKA KURNIAWAN’S NOVEL LELAKI HARIMAU

Abstract

Thesis Title: DARK TRIAD PERSONALITY IN EKA KURNIAWAN’S NOVEL LELAKI HARIMAU ABSTRACT The objectives of this research are to highlight and expose the kinds of dark triad personality found in the novel LELAKI HARIMAU. The novel is chosen as the source of data because it has psychological genre and represents the human relationship in real life. The study is conducted based on social psychological approach theory by Ratna, connected to the dark triad personality theory of Delroy L. Paulhus and Kevin M. Williams. They divides the dark triad personality into three kinds, they are 1) Machiavellanism, 2) Narcissism, 3) Psychopathy). The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative by Moeleong (2013) and Sugiyono (2015).
