Abstract: ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: SC merupakan tindakan medis yang diperlukan untuk membantu persalinan yang tidak bisa dilakukan secara normal akibat masalah kesehatan ibu atau kondisi janin. Namun demikian, tindakan SC tidak lagi dilakukan semata-mata karena pertimbangan medis, tetapi juga termasuk permintaan pasien sendiri atau saran dokter yang menangani seperti hasil penelitian yang dibahas sebelumnya. SC memang memungkinkan seorang wanita yang akan bersalin untuk merekayasa hari persalinan sesuai keinginan lebih besar. Tujuan: Tujuan umum penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui karakteristik persalinan di RSUD Kepahiang Bengkulu Periode Januari – Desember 2021. Metode: Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptf dengan desain retrospektif. Penelitian deskriptif digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan distribusi data berdasarkan jumlah dan persentase. Hasil: Mayoritas responden yaitu pasien yang bersalin di RSUD Kepahiang Bengkulu memiliki usia 20-35 tahun sebanyak 61 orang (70,9%). Pasien yang bersalin di RSUD Kepahiang Bengkulu yang melakukan persalinan spontan sebanyak 33 orang (38,4%), persalinan menggunakan vacumm/forceps sebanyak 12 orang (14,0%) dan persalinan section caesare sebanyak 41 orang (47,7%). Pasien yang bersalin di RSUD Kepahiang Bengkulu yang memiliki jenis paritas primipara sebanyak 32 orang (37,2%), sekundipara sebanyak 30 orang (34,9%), multipara sebanyak 18 orang (20,9%), dan grande multipara sebanyak 6 orang (7,0%). Pasien yang bersalin di RSUD Kepahiang Bengkulu yang melakukan persalinan dengan indikasi faktor janin yaitu sebanyak 3 orang (3,5%) yang terdiri dari presentasi bokong (presbo) dan letak lintang, indikasi persalinan faktor ibu yaitu sebanyak 37 orang (43%) yang terdiri dari Riwayat SC, plasenta previa, kala II lama, preeklamsia berat (PEB), kelelahan, dan ibu obesitas, indikasi persalinan faktor janin dan ibu yaitu sebanyak 13 orang (15,1%) yang terdiri dari oligohidramnion, postterm, ketuban pecah dini (KPD), dan gemelli dan tidak terindikasi medis (persalinan spontan) sebanyak 33 orang (38,4%). Kesimpulan: Mayoritas persalinan di RSUD Kepahiang Bengkulu Periode Januari – Desember 2021dilakukan secara section caesare sebanyak 41 orang (47,7%). Kata Kunci: Persalinan, Sectio cesarea, kehamilaniv ABSTRACT Background: SC is a medical procedure that is needed to help deliveries that cannot be carried out normally due to problems with the mother's health or the condition of the fetus. However, SC is no longer carried out solely because of medical considerations, but also includes the patient's own request or the advice of the treating doctor as the results of the research discussed earlier. SC does allow a woman who is about to give birth to manipulate the day of delivery according to her greater desire. Purpose: The general objective of this study was to determine the characteristics of deliveries at the Kepahiang Bengkulu Hospital for the January – December 2021 period. Method: This type of research uses descriptive research with a retrospective design. Descriptive research is used to describe the distribution of data based on number and percentage. Results: The majority of respondents, namely patients who gave birth at the Kepahiang Bengkulu Hospital, were aged 20-35 years as many as 61 people (70.9%). There were 33 patients (38.4%) who gave birth at the Kepahiang Bengkulu Hospital who gave spontaneous deliveries, 12 people (14.0%) used vacuum/forceps deliveries and 41 caesarean section deliveries (47.7%). Patients who gave birth at Kepahiang Bengkulu Hospital had 32 primipara types of parity (37.2%), 30 secondary people (34.9%), 18 multiparas (20.9%), and 6 grande multiparas. (7.0%). Patients who gave birth at Kepahiang Hospital Bengkulu who gave birth with indications of fetal factors, namely as many as 3 people (3.5%) consisting of breech presentation (presbo) and latitude, indications of delivery of maternal factors, namely as many as 37 people (43%) consisting from a history of SC, placenta previa, long second stage, severe preeclampsia (PEB), fatigue, and obese mothers, indications of delivery of fetal and maternal factors, namely 13 people (15.1%) consisting of oligohydramnios, postterm, premature rupture of membranes ( KPD), and gemelli and not medically indicated (spontaneous delivery) as many as 33 people (38.4%). Conclusion: The majority of deliveries at Kepahiang Bengkulu Hospital for the January- December 2021 period were carried out by caesarean section in 41 people (47.7%).
