Abstract: The object of this study was an article in Time magazine entitled The End of Cash. This study provides an analysis of derivational suffixes which occur in Time Magazine article entitle The End of Cash. The study aims to find the most dominant type of derivational and inflectional suffixes found in Time Magazine article entitle The End of Cash and also to elaborate the process of both suffixes. This study applied a descriptive qualitative method which defined by Sugiyono theory. To find out the most dominant suffixes used in in the Time magazine article entitled The End of Cash which defined by Fromkin et al., theory. The result of the research shows that the researcher found 94 data. There are 66 data for inflectional suffixes and 28 data for derivational suffixes. The most dominant type of inflectional and derivational suffixes in the Time magazine article entitled The End of Cash is plural using suffix -s and progressive using -ing. Both of these type are the category of inflection which was found each of them as many as 21 words. While the the most frequent type of derivation is verb to noun and adjective to adverb. It was found each of them in 8 words using derivational suffixes -or, -sion, -ally, -or, -y, -ly, - ment, and-ist. Keywords: Suffixes, Inflectional, Derivational, Magazine article
