Abstract: ABSTRACT This thesis proposal explores the causes and effects of the antagonist's revenge in J.K. Rowling's novel Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The study aims to analyze the complex motivations behind the antagonist's desire for revenge, which stem from personal betrayals, perceived injustices, and a quest for power. It examines how these factors contribute to aggressive actions and the resulting conflicts within the wizarding world. The research highlights the profound emotional impact of the antagonist's revenge on key characters, including feelings of grief, isolation, and disappointment, as they navigate the psychological toll of their resistance against this influence. Additionally, the study addresses the broader implications of revenge, such as the erosion of trust and the fracturing of relationships among allies. By investigating these themes, the research seeks to provide a deeper understanding of the destructive nature of revenge and its capacity to corrupt both individuals and communities. Ultimately, the findings underscore the importance of empathy, justice, and solidarity in overcoming adversity, offering valuable lessons on the consequences of unchecked aggression in both literature and real life.
