Name : LIKA TITI, NPM : 71200211064, Title THE INFLUENCE OF ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION ON THE PROCESS OF FORMING STUDENTS' CHARACTERS AT JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL (SMP) IT AL-IKHLAS DISTRICT OF MEDAN CITY IT Al-Ikhlas Junior High School (SMP), Medan Selayang District, Medan City generally originates from public elementary schools, where the known religious education so far has been relatively minimal, the lack of religious knowledge that they have certainly affects the students' morals. The lack of religious education among students causes students' morals in schools to be low, such as not respecting teachers, coming to school late, often not doing their assignments and paying little heed to school rules and discipline. However, at IT Al-Ikhlas Middle School (SMP) Medan Selayang, students are taught better and more in-depth Islamic religious education. Through the religious education taught, it is hoped that it will influence the process of forming students' morals at school. The formulation of the research problem is how is the existence of Islamic religious education at the IT Al-Ikhlas Junior High School (SMP), Medan Selayang District, Medan City. What is the process of forming student morals at IT Al-Ikhlas Junior High School (SMP), Medan Selayang District, Medan City. What is the influence of Islamic religious education on the process of forming students' morals at IT Al-Ikhlas Junior High School (SMP), Medan Selayang District, Medan City. This research method is a quantitative method with 46 samples using questionnaires and statistical analysis. The results of this research are that the existence of Islamic religious education at the IT-Al-Ikhlas Junior High School (SMP), Medan Selayang District, is taught through Islamic Religion subjects taught in the teaching and learning process in class and through the practice of worship. The process of forming the morals of IT-Al-Ikhlas Junior High School (SMP) students in Medan Selayang District is carried out by learning through lesson materials, by role models, examples and so on. There is an influence of Islamic religious education on the process of forming students' morals at the IT Al-Ikhlas Junior High School (SMP), Medan Selayang District. Where the calculated t value of 0.678 is greater than the t tabel (10,098 > 1.678) in the positive direction. The percentage influenced by variable X is 0.699.
