Kata Kunci: Asupan Makanan, Mahasiswa, Massa Lemak ABSTRACT Background: Disorganized food intake and a tendency to eat fast food can increase the accumulation of fat in the body, thereby increasing body fat mass. Objective: to determine the relationship between food intake and body fat mass in FK UISU students. Methods: This study is prospective using Cross Sectional design. The total number of respondents was 77 people with stratified random sampling method. Data were taken using the SQ-FFQ questionnaire, nutrisurvey, and Bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) tools. Data were analyzed with Pearson Correlation test. Results: From 77 respondents, 30 were male and 47 were female. The mean food intake was 1824.08kcal±622.26kcal. The mean fat mass in woman was 32.71% ± 4.77% and man 24.74% ± 6.1%, and 42 respondents (54.5%) had high fat mass. The relationship between food intake and fat mass, with r = -0.238 and p = 0.037 (<0.05). Conclusion: There is a significant relationship with a negative correlation between food intake and fat mass.
