ABSTRACT Background : HIV/AIDS is a disease caused by infection of Human Immunodeficiency Virus. This disease attacks the immune system by suppressing and decreasing the number of CD4 cells, thereby increasing the risk of opportunistic infections that can be prevented by antiretroviral therapy. HIV can be transmitted by an infected person through the exchange of various body fluids such as blood, breast milk, semen, and vaginal fluids. Objective : Knowing the profile of patients infected with HIV/AIDS at the Tropical Disease and Infection Clinic, Dr. Umar Zein in 2021. Method : Descriptive observational. Results : People living with HIV/AIDS are dominated by men (71%) aged 36-45 years (39%) working Private Employees (50%) Batak ethnicity (50%), married status (61%) with the most transmission method through Heterosexual (71%) majority initial CD4 count <400 cells/µl (64%) majority final CD4 unchecked (64%) majority initial viral load showing detectable HIV virus (79%) final viral load mostly undetectable HIV virus (54%) takes 1-3 years (50%) with the most opportunistic infections Oral candidiasis (50%) the majority start ARV therapy at stage III (43%) The most combination of ARVs is Lamivudine, Tenofovir, Nevirapine (32%) and the majority of people living with HIV/AIDS did not experience any change in ARV administration (57%).
