Abstract: ABSTRAK Latar Belakang : Menghadapi kebijakan PSBB tersebut, respon masyarakat tampak berbeda- beda. Ada masyarakat yang secara sukarela patuh terhadap instruksi pemerintah (obedience to authority). Mereka melakukan pembatasan berbagai kegiatan, dan hanya tinggal di rumah saja. Tapi, ada juga sebagian masyarakat yang tidak mengindahkan peraturan pemerintah mengenai PSBB tersebut (disobedience to authority). Mereka tetap melakukan beberapa kegiatan. Ada penjual keliling yang masih keluar masuk komplek perumahan tanpa mengindahkan protokol yang disarankan; ada pasar kaget yang masih beroperasi di beberapa tempat; ada anak-anak muda yang masih berkumpul bergerombol di tempat-tempat umum; serta ada sebagian masyarakat yang masih menyelenggarakan shalat jumat atau shalat berjamaah di masjid-mesjid. Tujuan : Mengetahui Hubungan Persepsi Siswa SMP Negri 2 Medan Terhadap Pencegahan penularan Covid-19 Pada Tahun 2022 Metode : Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 81 responden dengan menggunakan desain analitik potong lintang, kemudian dilakukan analisis univariat dan bivariat. Hasil : Hasil penelitian Nilai responden yang memiliki persepsi yang baik sebanyak 71 orang (87,5%), Nilai responden yang memiliki tindakan baik dalam pencegahan COVID-19 sebanyak 61 orang (87,5%). Hasil uji korelasi chi square diperoleh nilai p=0,001 (p<0,05) sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan persepsi siswa siswi SMP N 2 Medan dalam pencegahan Covid-19 Kata Kunci : Persepsi, Tindakan dan Pencegahan COVID-19 ABSTRACT Background: Facing the PSBB policy, the public's response seemed to vary. There are people who voluntarily comply with government instructions (obedience to authority). They limit various activities, and just stay at home. However, there are also some people who do not heed government regulations regarding the PSBB (disobedience to authority). They still do some activities. There are peddlers who still go in and out of the housing complex without heeding the recommended protocol; there are shock markets still operating in several places; there are young people who still gather in groups in public places; and there are some people who still hold Friday prayers or congregational prayers in mosques. Objective: Knowing the Relationship between the Perceptions of Medan Middle School 2 Students about Covid-19 Against Prevention and Transmission in 2022 Methods: This study was conducted on 81 respondents using a cross-sectional analytic design, then univariate and bivariate analysis was performed. Results: The results of the study showed that the number of respondents who had a good perception was 71 people (87.5%). The number of respondents who had good actions in preventing Covid-19 was 61 people (87.5%). The results of the chi square correlation test obtained a value of p = 0.001 (p <0.05) so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the perceptions of students of SMP N 2 Medan in preventing Covid-19 Keywords: Perception, Action and Prevention of COVID-19
