FACTORS OF PERSONAL MOTIVATION IN ERICKIRSTNE’S MOVIE SCRIPT MIDNIGHT SUN

Abstract

This study is conducted to analyze the factors of personal motivation from Midnight Sun movie written by Eric Kirsten. The factors of personal motivation which are being analyzed are need, hope, responsibility, selfesteem and achievement. It is in accordance with the theory proposed by McClelland in Liga, G and Fatma, K (2005). This study uses qualitative descriptive method because the process and the result are accomplished descriptively. The analysis indicates that factors of the personal motivation repentance in the movie script are need, hope, responsibility, self-esteem and achievement. The result of this study shows that when we want to rise from adversitiy and realize dream, we must have a motivation to make it happen.
