T This study analyzes the elements of magical realism in Diana Wynne Jones' novel Howl's Moving Castle. This study explores specific examples of magical realism and examines how these elements effects character development, relationships, and personal growth in the narrative. Utilizing Wendy B. Faris's theory of magical realism, this study aims to provide a deeper understanding of how magical realism shapes characters and their interactions, offering insight into the genre's impact on literary works and readers' understanding of magical realism. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. The analysis reveals that Howl's Moving Castle incorporates three key elements of magical realism: the irreducible element, the phenomenal world, and the disruption of time, space, and identity. These elements significantly effects character development, relationships, and personal growth, highlighting how magical realism blends reality and myth to explore human experience and social issues.
