Abstract: | Abstract This qualitative study embarks on a comprehensive exploration of the multifaceted wisdom embodied by Aslan, the protagonist in C.S. Lewis's iconic work, The Chronicles of Narnia. Drawing upon Sternberg's balance theory of wisdom as the guiding theoretical framework, this study delves into the intricate layers of Aslan's cognitive and affective wisdom. Utilizing Creswell's thematic analysis approach, we meticulously examine Aslan's character, uncovering a wealth of attributes that contribute to his wisdom. The findings reveal that Aslan's cognitive wisdom is characterized by a deep understanding, strategic planning, empathy, moral judgment, recognition of significance, and a thoughtful response to tragedy. These elements collectively highlight his profound insight and foresight throughout the narrative. In addition, his affective wisdom is expressed through his compassion, courage, and moral guidance. Through his actions, words, and interactions with the inhabitants of Narnia, Aslan showcases a profound comprehension of emotions, relationships, and the transformative power of love and forgiveness. Keywords: affective wisdom; cognitive wisdom; leadership, physical endurance; resurrection |
