dc.description.abstractThesis Title: FEMINISM IN SUZANNE COLLIN’S NOVEL THE HUNGER GAMES ABSTRACT This research delves into the portrayal of feminism in Suzanne Collins' novel, The Hunger Games, exploring the various feminist themes and types depicted in the narrative. Through a qualitative approach, the study aims to understand how feminism is incorporated into popular culture, specifically within the context of dystopian literature. By analyzing the depiction of feminism in The Hunger Games, the research sheds light on how literature reflects, reinforces, or challenges societal norms and attitudes towards gender. The study not only highlights the feminist ideals embodied by the protagonist, Katniss Everdeen, but also underscores the novel's significance in challenging traditional gender roles and promoting gender equality. The findings of this research contribute to feminist theory by showcasing the power of literature as a medium for social commentary and reflection. Additionally, the study emphasizes the importance of critically engaging with media content to develop a nuanced understanding of societal values and perceptions.
