Abstract: | ABSTRACT This study is entitled Domestic Violence in Collen Hoover’s Novel It Ends With Us. It Ends With Us a story tells about Lily Bloom who lives in Boston. She experienced a violent childhood from her father, who was violent towards himself and her mother. Lily now lives with a violent husband who cannot control his anger, and her past experiences have taught her to cope with her husband's violent behavior. The researcher would like to investigate the novel It Ends with Us to learn and understand the domestic violence that occurred to the main character. This thesis uses violence by Tulangow’s theory (2022: 6) as the form of psychological violence . In completing the analysis, the study uses qualitative descriptive method by Creswell (2012: 274), uses Creswell's data analysis, which shows data based on information in the novel. This research is based on Collen Hoover's novel "It Ends With Us", which describes the different types of domestic violence depicted in the novel. The violence includes physical violence, emotional violence, verbal violence, and sexual violence. This violence has an impact, which is mental disorders, loss of confidence, anxiety, and uncontrollable emotions.
