Abstract: | v ABSTRACT This study is entitled Protagonist’s Revenge in Emily Brontë’s novel Wuthering Heights. This research in aimed to find out about factors influencing protagonist’s take revenge and the negative impacts after the protagonist’s revenge. This thesis uses theories by McCullough to describe of revenge. Then, theories by Barcaccia et al, to data of factors influencing revenge and Schwartz to data of negative impacts after revenge relates to the subject matter. The methodology which the writer applied in this research was descriptive qualitative method by Ary (1972: 295). The data of this study is obtained from the novel Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë. The results showed data that there are things that three factors influence the protagonist’s to take revenge, such as betrayal, injustice and insult. Other data found in this study there are two negative impacts after protagonist’s take revenge, such as depression and anxiety.
