Abstract: | RINGKASAN Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kebun percobaan Fakultas Pertanian UISU, Kelurahan Gedung Johor, Kecamatan Medan Johor, Kota Madya Medan, Provinsi Sumatera Utara dengan ketinggian ± 25 m dpl dengan topografi datar. Penelitian ini di bimbing oleh Ibu Ir. Saur Ernawati Manik, Msc sebagai ketua dan Ibu . Ir. Rahmawati. MP sebagai anggota. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari pengaruh pemberian Kompos jerami padi dan pupuk Kompos ampas tebu terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung Manis (Zea Mays Saccharata) pada tanah Inceptisol. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial dengan dua faktor yang diteliti yaitu : 1. Faktor pertama adalah Pupuk Kompos Jerami Padi (J) terdiri dari 3 taraf perlakuan, yaitu :J0 = 0 Kontrol, J1 = 2,7 kg/plot, J2 = 5,4 kg/plot. 2. Faktor kedua adalah Pupuk Kompos Ampas Tebu (T) yang terdiri dari 3 taraf perlakuan, yaitu :T0 = 0 kontrol, T1= 2,7 kg/plot, T2= 5,4 kg/plot. Parameter yang diamati adalah Tinggi Tanaman, Jumlah Helai Daun, Diameter Batang, Bobot Tongkol Klobot, Panjang Tongkol dan Diameter Tongkol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian Kompos Jerami Padi berpengaruh nyata terhadap Tinggi Tanaman, Diameter Batang, Bobot Tongkol Klobot, Panjang Tongkol, Diameter Tongkol dan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap Jumlah Helai Daud tanaman jagung, Pada sifat tanah Inceptisol Kompos Ampas Tebu berpengaruh nyata terhadap Tinggi Tanaman, Diameter Tongkol tanaman jagung. Pada perlakuan Kompos Ampas Tebu berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap Jumlah Helai Daun, Diameter Batang, Bobot Tongkol Klobot, Panjang Tongkol, Diameter Tongkol tanaman jagung. Sedangkan interaksi aplikasi Kompos Jerami Padi dan Kompos Ampas Tebu berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan yaitu Tinggi Tanaman, Panjang Tongkol, Diameter Tongkol dan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap Jumlah Helai Daun, Diameter Batang, Bobot Tongkol Klobot pada tanaman jagung. Kata Kunci : Kompos jerami padi , Kompos ampas tebu, Tanah Inceptisol, Jagung manis (Zea Mays Saccharata) SUMMARY This research was conducted at the UISU Faculty of Agriculture Experimental Garden, Gedung Johor Village, Medan Johor District, Medan Municipality, North Sumatra Province with a height of ± 25 m above sea level with a flat topography. This research was supervised by Mrs Ir, Saur Ernawati Manik, Msc as chairman and Mrs. Ir. Rahmawati. MP as members. This study aims to study the effect of rice straw compost and bagasse compost fertilizer on the growth and yield of sweet corn (Zea Mays Saccharata) on Inceptisol soil. This study used a factorial randomized block design (RBD) with two factors studied, namely: 1. The first factor was Rice Straw Compost (J) consisting of 3 treatment levels, namely: J0 = 0 Control, J1 = 2.7 kg/plot, J2 = 5.4 kg/plot. 2. The second factor was Sugarcane Bagasse Fertilizer (T), which consisted of 3 treatment levels, namely: T0 = 0 control, T1 = 2.7 kg/plot, T2 = 5.4 kg/plot. Parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, cob weight, cob length and cob diameter. The results showed that the application of Rice Straw Compost had a significant effect on Plant Height, Stem Diameter, Cob Klobot Weight, Cob Length, Cob Diameter and had no significant effect on the number of leaves of corn plants, on soil properties Inceptisol Sugarcane Bagasse Compost had a significant effect on Plant Height, Corn Cob Diameter. In the sugarcane bagasse treatment, there was no significant effect on the number of leaves, stem diameter, cob weight, cob length, and corn cob diameter. While the interaction of the application of Rice Straw Compost and Sugarcane Bagasse Compost had a significant effect on growth, namely Plant Height, Cob Length, Cob Diameter and had no significant effect on the Number of Leaf Blades, Stem Diameter, Klobot Cob Weight in corn plants.
