Abstract: | RINGKASAN Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kebun percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Islam Sumatera Utara, Kelurahan Gedung Johor, Kecamatan Medan Johor, Kota Madya Medan, Provinsi Sumatera Utara dengan ketinggian ± 25 m dpl dengan topografi datar. Penelitian ini dibimbing oleh Ibu Ir.Rahmawati, MP. sebagai ketua dan Ibu Ir.Fenty Maimunah Simbolon, MP. sebagai anggota. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk organik cair pepaya dan waktu Aplikasi terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kedelai (Glycine max L) pada tanah Ultisol. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial dengan dua faktor yang diteliti yaitu : 1. Faktor pertama adalah Pupuk Organik Cair Pepaya (P) terdiri dari 4 taraf perlakuan, yaitu :P1 = 75ml/polybag, P2 = 150 ml/polybag, P3 = 225 ml/polybag, P4= 300 ml/polybag. 2. Faktor kedua adalah Waktu Aplikasi (W) yang terdiri dari 3 taraf perlakuan, yaitu :W1 = Saat tanam, W2= 1 minggu sebelum tanam, W3= 2 minggu sebelum tanam. Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman,jumlah cabang produktif, jumlah polong, Bobot polong dan bobot 100 butir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk organik cair pepaya berpengaruh nyata terhadap Jumlah cabang, Jumlah Polong, Bobot polong , bobot 100 butir dan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman kedelai. Pada perlakuan Waktu Aplikasi berpengaruh nyata terhadap bobot 100 butir tanaman kedelai , namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman , jumlah cabang, jumlah polong dan Bobot polong tanaman kedelai. Sedangkan interaksi aplikasi POCpy dan waktu aplikasi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan yaitu tinggi tanaman, jumlah cabang, jumlah polong dan bobot polong, namun berpengaruh nyata terhadap bobot 100 butir tanaman kedelai. Kata Kunci : POC Pepaya , Waktu Aplikasi, Ultisol SUMMARY This research was conducted at the UISU Faculty of Agriculture Experimental Farm, Gedung Johor Village, Medan Johor District, Medan Municipality, North Sumatra Province with a height of ± 25 m above sea level with a flat topography. This research was supervised by Mrs. Ir.Rahmawati, MP as chairman and Mrs. Ir. Fenty Maimunah Simbolon, MP., as a mentor member. This study aims to determine the effect of papaya liquid organic fertilizer application and application time on the growth and yield of soybean (Glycine max L) in Ultisol soil. This study used a factorial randomized block design (RBD) with two factors studied, namely: 1. The first factor was Papaya Liquid Organic Fertilizer (P) consisting of 4 treatment levels, namely: P1 = 75 ml/polybag, P2 = 150 ml/polybag, P3 = 225 ml/polybag, P4 = 300 ml/poly bag. 2. The second factor is Application Time (W), which consists of 3 treatment levels, namely: W1 = At planting, W2 = 1 week before planting, W3 = 2 weeks before planting. Parameters observed were plant height, number of productive branches, number of pods, pod weight and 100 grain weight. The results showed that the give of papaya liquid organik fertilizer had a significant effect on the number of branches, number of pods, pod weight, 100 grain weight and had no significant effect on soybean plant height. The application time treatment had a significant effect on the weight of 100 soybean plants, but had no significant effect on plant height, number of branches, number of pods and pod weight of soybean plants. Meanwhile, the interaction between POCpy application and application time had no significant effect on growth, namely plant height, number of branches, number of pods and pod weight, but had a significant effect on the weight of 100 soybean plants.
