Abstract: | ABSTRAK Perkebunan kelapa sawit menghasilkan tandan buah segar (TBS). TBS diproses oleh pabrik kelapa asawit (PKS) utuk menghasilkan minyak sawit mentah (CPO) dan produk turunan lainnya. Produktivitas yang tinggi menjadikan kelapa sawit kompetitif sebagai alternatif minyak yang dapat digunakan oleh industri makanan, kosmetik, produk kesehatan, biofuel dan biodiesel (Stephanie et al., 2018). Namun dalam peroses produksi terjadi kehilangan minyak maka pabrik kelapa sawit berupaya meminimalkan kehilangan minyak dengan mengoptimalkan proses produksi serta perbaikan mutu produk. Dalam hal tersebut dilakukan analisis pengolahan buah sawit pada PT.PP. London Sumatra Indonesia Tbk, di Batu Lakong, Kec. Galang, Kab. Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara, untuk mengetahui terjadinya oil losses pada mesin screw press dengan menggunakan metode Statistical Process Control (SPC) yang merupakan metode pengambilan keputusan secara analisis yang memperlihatkan suatu proses berjalan dengan baik atau tidak (Zagloel & Nurcahyo, 2013). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan pada bulan septrmber - bulan oktober 2022. Dengan hasil analisis pada diagram histogram rata- rata oil losses pada mesin screw press II sudah melewati batas ketentuan pabrik, hal ini juga dapat menyebabkan menurunya rendemen sedangkan pada hasil analisis peta kontrol oil losses yang dihasilkan mesin screw press masih dapat dikendalikan dan pada hasil analisis sebab akibat dapat diketahui yang menjadi faktor penyebab naiknya oil losses pada hasil pengepressan yaitu raw material, sumber daya manusia dan mesin. Kata kunci : Kelapa sawit, Kehilangan minyak, Mesin screw press, SPC.ABSTRACT Oil palm plantations produce fresh fruit bunches (FFB). FFB is processed by palm oil mills (PKS) to produce crude palm oil (CPO) and other derivative products. High productivity makes palm oil competitive as an alternative to oil that can be used by the food, cosmetic, health product, biofuel and biodiesel industries (Stephanie et al., 2018). However, in the production process, oil loss occurs, so the palm oil mill tries to minimize oil loss by optimizing the production process and improving product quality. In this case, an analysis of palm fruit processing was carried out at PT.PP. London Sumatra Indonesia Tbk, in Batu Lakong, Kec. Galang, Kab. Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, to determine the occurrence of oil losses in screw press machines using the Statistical Process Control (SPC) method which is an analytical decision-making method that shows a process is running well or not (Zagloel & Nurcahyo, 2013). Based on the results of research conducted in September - October 2022. With the results of the analysis on the histogram diagram, the average oil loss on the screw press machine II has exceeded the factory limits, this can also cause a decrease in yield, while the results of the oil loss control map analysis produced by the screw press machine can still be controlled and on the results of the causal analysis it can be seen that the factors causing the increase in oil losses in the results of pressing are raw materials, human resources and machines.
