dc.description.abstract | vii ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan ini untuk melihat pengaruh faktor penambahan bahan chemical seperti Tawas, Soda ash, dan Flocculand di pengolahan air eskternal terhadap penjernihan air yang akan di gunakan pada pengolahan di pabrik kelapa sawit tidak membentuk kerak/endapan pada dinding terutama pada stasiun boiler/ketel. Penelitian ini dilakukan di laboratorium dengan menggunakan cara jartes dengan masing-masing percobaan triplo/3 kali dengan penambahan dosis chemical yang sudah ditetapkan dan dilihat turbidity/tingkat kejernihannya dan dicatat diolah menjadi data. Kemudian hasil rekapitulasi data penelitian yang didapat akan diolah menggunakan metode analisa statistic dengan menggunakan metode Rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) 3 faktorial dan dilanjutkan dengan hasil tabel uji anova / sidik ragam dan pengolahan datanya akan menggunakan bantuan aplikasi microsoft Excel. Dari hasil penelitian yang didapat dengan menggunakan metode RAL (Rancangan Acak Lengkap) 3 faktorial hasilnya bahwa pengaruh penambahan bahan chemical tawas dan flokulan akan berpengaruh nyata pada penjernihan air yang artinya nilai Fhitung > Ftabel maka Ho ditolak, tawas dan flokulan ini memiliki fungsi membentuk flok-flok yang bertujuan untuk mengendapkan kotoran sehingga air tersebut dapat dijernihkan maka sangat dominan diperlukan, Sedangkan pada penambahan bahan chemical soda ash dengan hasil keputusan yang diperoleh F hitung 0.186746989 < F tabel 3.168245967 Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ho diterima pada level nyata ά. yang artinya perlakuan tidak memberikan pengaruh yang Nyata terhadap respon yang diamati. Hal ini dikarenakan soda ash ini memiliki fungsi hanya dapat sebagai pengatur pH saja terhadap air yang akan dijernihkan pada pabrik kelapa sawit. Kata Kunci : Pengaruh bahan chemical, Penjernihan air eksternal, Jartest, Rancangan Acak Lengkap, Aplikasi microsoft excel.viii ABSTRACK This study aims to see the effect of adding chemical ingredients such as Tawas, Soda ash, and Flocculand in external water treatment on water purification that will be used in processing in palm oil mills does not form scale/sediment on the walls, especially at boiler stations. This research was conducted in the laboratory using the jartes method with each trial three times with the addition of a predetermined chemical dose and the turbidity/clearness level was observed and recorded and processed into data. Then the results of the research data recapitulation obtained will be processed using statistical analysis methods using the 3 factorial completely randomized design (CRD) method and followed by the results of the ANOVA / variance test table and data processing will use the assistance of the Microsoft Excel application. From the research results obtained using the RAL method (Completely Randomized Design) 3 factorial the result is that the effect of adding the chemical alum and flocculants will have a significant effect on water purification, which means that the value of Fcount > Ftable then Ho is rejected, alum and these flocculants have the function of forming flocs floc which aims to precipitate dirt so that the water can be purified is very dominantly needed, while the addition of chemical soda ash with the decision results obtained F count 0.186746989 < F table 3.168245967 So it can be concluded that Ho is accepted at the real level ά. which means that the treatment did not have a significant effect on the observed response. This is because soda ash has a function only as a pH regulator for water that will be clarified at the palm oil mill.
