ABSTRAK EKSPLORASI DAN KARAKTERISASI FAMILY Gesneriaceae DI KAWASAN TAHURA KECAMATAN MERDEKA KABUPATEN KARO DALAM PENGEMBANGAN BAHAN AJAR BIOLOGI Dewi Andriani Email : dewiidangdut@gmail.com Penelitian ini di Kawasan Tahura, Kecamatan Merdeka, Kabupaten Karo, Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Penelitian di laksanakan pada bulan Mei sampai Juli 2022. Yang bertujuan untuk: (1) untuk mengetahui jumlah spesies tumbuhan family Gesneriaceae yang ada di kawasan Tahura Kbabupaten Karo, (2) untuk mendapatkan data tentang karakteristik morfologi setiap spesies tumbuhan dari family Gesneriaceae, (3) dan untuk menghasilkan Modul Pembelajaran Biologi karakteristik morfologi tumbuhan family Gesneriaceae yang valid dan praktis. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode Deskriptif dan Eksploratif dengan bertujuan untuk langsung mengumpulkan sampel dan langsung mengidentifikasi, mendeskripsikan, pengklasifikasian dan menguji keefektifan dengan menggunakan metode ini. Kemudian berakhir dengan pengembangan bahan ajar berupa Modul. Hasil penelitian ini ,menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 9 spesies dari family tumbuhan Gesneriaceae yaitu Gloxinia Sylvatica, Henckelia Hispida, Episcia Cupreata, Agalmyla Prasitica, Cyrtandra Pitca, Aeschynanthus Albidus, Aeschynanthus Longiflorus, Aeschynanthus Pulcher, Rhynchoglossum Obliquum. Hasil data kemudian di deskripsikan masing-masing tumbuhan Gesneriaceae . The research was carried out from May to July 2022. The aims were: (1) to determine the number of plant species of the Gesneriaceae family in the Tahura area of Karo Kbabupaten, (2) to obtain data on the morphological characteristics of each plant species from the Gesneriaceae family, (3 ) and to produce a Biology Learning Module for the morphological characteristics of plants of the Gesneriaceae family that is valid and practical. In this study using descriptive and exploratory methods with the aim of directly collecting samples and directly identifying, describing, classifying and testing the effectiveness of using this method. Then ends with the development of teaching materials in the form of modules. The results of this study indicate that there are 9 species of the Gesneriaceae plant family, namely Gloxinia Sylvatica, Henckelia Hispida, Episcia Cupreata, Agalmyla Prasitica, Cyrtandra Pitca, Aeschynanthus Albidus, Aeschynanthus Longiflorus, Aeschynanthus Pulcher, Rhynchoglossum Obliquum.
