dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT MHD EGI RIMAWAN, NPM : 71170312176, The Influence of Work Environment and Work Discipline on the Performance of North Sumatran Regional Police (Polda) Personnel, 2022 Thesis. The Regional Police (POLDA) is the main regional implementing unit under the National Police Chief. The Regional Police is tasked with carrying out the duties of the National Police at the level I regional level such as the Province or Special Region. Polda is a direct extension of the National Police Headquarters. The Regional Police are led by the Head of the Regional Indonesian National Police (KAPOLDA), who is responsible to the KAPOLRI. POLDA oversees the Indonesian National Police Resort (POLRES). A comfortable work environment for police personnel boosts their daily performance. The factors of a comfortable work environment include lighting, air temperature, noise, use of color, space for movement, security and employee relations. The problem that occurs is that not all work environment factors are met, one of which is air temperature and noise, so the work environment is not fully comfortable which causes performance to be not optimal. Problems related to performance in the North Sumatra Regional Police (POLDA) are absenteeism and work discipline that have not been fully implemented to the maximum. This type of research is quantitative. The population of this research is 467 customers with the sample of this research is 82 employees. Sources of data used are primary data sourced directly from the sample under study. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis, determination test, t test and f test with the help of SPSS test equipment. Based on the results of the hypothesis test for the Work Environment variable in column R of 0.015 in other words, employee performance increases due to the influence of the Work Environment variable, meaning that the higher the Work Environment, the higher the employee performance. Based on the results of hypothesis testing for the Work Discipline variable in column R of 0.682, in other words, the Work Environment increases due to the influence of the Work Discipline variable, meaning that the higher the Work Environment, the higher the employee performance. Based on the results of the Determinant Coefficient (R2) test, it can be concluded that the value of R Square is 0.682, meaning that all variables X affect variable Y by 68.2% and the remaining 31.8% is influenced by other variables not discussed in this study.
