dc.description.abstract | ii RINGKASAN Peluang tanaman karet sangat menjanjikan dimana bahan karet sintetis semakin terbatas, kebutuhan karet alam semakin meningkat (2,5%/thn), dan karet alam Indonesia memiliki spesifikasi teknis yang dibutuhkan oleh industri ban dan berbagai jenis industri berasal dari karet lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan kombinasi perlakuan terbaik dari metode aplikasi dan dosis stimulan cair yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan produksi lateks pada klon PB 260. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari sampai Juli 2022 di perkebunan karet rakyat Desa Jaharun B kecamatan Galang, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara dan analisis fisiologi lateks dilakukan di Laboratorium BPSP Sei Putih. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap tiga ulangan dengan kombinasi sistem sadap dan konsentrasi stimulan cair sebagai perlakuan. Perlakuan kombinasi sistem sadap dan konsentrasi stimulan cair (S) terdiri dari 6 taraf, yaitu: S1 (S4 d5 1%), S2 (S4 d5 2%), S3 (S4 d5 3%), S4 (S2 d5 1%), S5 (S2 d5 2 %), dan S6 (S2 d5 3%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakter fisiologi lateks sebelum pemberian stimulan menunjukkan kandungan sukrosa berkisar antara 11,15-11,49 mM, Pi berkisar antara 21,10-21,19 mM dan kandungan thiol berkisar antara 1,05-1,08 mM. Setelah pemberian stimulan, perlakuan S1 (S/4 d5 1%) dan S6 (S/2 d5 3%) menghasilkan kandungan sukrosa, Pi dan thiol sangat tinggi (16,10 mM dan 17,76 mM; 41,28 mM dan 26,87 mM; 1,16 mM dan 1,61 mM), S4 (S/2 d5 1%) dan S5 (S/2 d5 2%) menghasilkan kandungan sukrosa dan Pi dalam kisaran optimum dengan kandungan thiol tinggi dan sangat tinggi (4,71 mM dan 5,21 mM; 18,87 mM dan 22,26 mM; 0,94 mM dan 1,24 mM), S2 (S/4 d5 2%) dan S3 (S/4 d5 3%) menghasilkan kandungan sukrosa sangat rendah, Pi dan thiol dalam kisaran optimum dan sangat tinggi (0,30 mM dan 1,42 mM; 18,76 mM dan 20,13 mM; 0,87 mM dan 1,50 mM). Produksi lateks sebelum pemberian stimulan (Februari-Maret) lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan produksi lateks setelah pemberian stimulant (April-Juli). Namun produksi lateks masih di bawah produksi lateks umumnya klon PB 260 disebabkan bahan tanaman yang digubakan sebagai sampel berumur 15 tahun dengan kondisi sangat heterogen yaitu sebagian tanaman terserang penyakit kering alur sadap (KAS) dengan kondisi besarnya serangan berbeda-beda, dan juga mengalami gugur daun yang disebabkan oleh penyakit daun dan kekeringan akibat musim kemarau, sudut sadap yang dilakukan oleh petani karet rakyat kurang dari 45 derajat serta disadap dengan dua irisan sadap. Kata Kunci : Tanaman Karet, Stimulan, Penyakit Kering Alur Sadap, Gugur Daun. iii SUMMARY The opportunity for rubber plants is very promising where synthetic rubber material is increasingly limited, the need for natural rubber is increasing (2.5%/yr), and Indonesia's natural rubber has the technical specifications needed by the tire industry and various types of industries come from other rubber. This study aims to get the best combination of treatment from the application method and liquid stimulant dose used to increase latex production at the PB 260 clone. The study was conducted in February to July 2022 in the Rubber Rubber Plantation of Jaharun B Village, Galang District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra and the analysis of latex physiology was carried out in the Sei Putih BPSP Laboratory. The research method used is a random design group complete three replications with a combination of tapping systems and concentration of liquid stimulants as treatment. Treatment of tapping system combination and concentration of liquid stimulant (S) consists of 6 levels, namely: S1 (S4 D5 1%), S2 (S4 D5 2%), S3 (S4 D5 3%), S4 (S2 D5 1%), S5 (S2 D5 2 %), and S6 (S2 D5 3 %). The results showed that the physiological character of latex before giving stimulants showed the sucrose content ranging from 11.15-11.49 mm, PIs ranged from 21.10-21.19 mm and Thiol content ranged from 1.05-1.08 mm. After giving stimulants, S1 treatment (S/4 D5 1%) and S6 (S/2 D5 3%) produces very high sucrose, PI and Thiol content (16.10 mm and 17.76 mm; 41.28 mm and 26 , 87 mm; 1.16 mm and 1.61 mm), S4 (S/2 D5 1%) and S5 (S/2 D5 2%) produce sucrose and PI content in the optimum range with high and very high thiol content ( 4.71 mm and 5.21 mm; 18.87 mm and 22.26 mm; 0.94 mm and 1.24 mm), S2 (up to 4 D5 2%) and S3 (up to 4 D5 3%) Produces very low sucrose content, Pi and Thiol in the optimum and very high range (0.30 mm and 1.42 mm; 18.76 mm and 20.13 mm; 0.87 mm and 1.50 mm). Latex production before stimulant (February-March) is lower than latex production after stimulant (April-July). However, latex production is still below the production of latex generally Pb 260 clones are caused by plant material which is published as a sample aged 15 years with a very heterogeneous condition, namely some plants were attacked by dry tapping disease with different conditions of attack, and also experienced leaf fall caused by leaf disease and drought due to the dry season, the tapping angle made by smallholder rubber farmers is less than 45 degrees and is tapped with two tapping slices.
