KINERJA PRODUKSI DAN HARGA KOMODITAS CABAI MERAH ( Capsicum Annum L. ) DI PROVINSI SUMATERA UTARA

Abstract

ABSTRAK Nur Zuhratul Ulfa Damanik ( 7115070100 ), dengan judul penelitian Kinerja Produksi Dan Harga Komoditas Cabai Merah ( Capsicum Annum. L ) di Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tahun 2022 dibawah bimbingan Ibu Desi Novita, S.P, M.Si dan Bapak Mhd. Ilham Riyadh, S.P, M.Si, Program Studi Agribisnis Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sumatera Utara. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perkembangan produksi dan harga cabai merah di Provinsi Sumatera Utara tahun 2018 hingga tahun 2020 dan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi produksi dan harga cabai merah di Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Daerah yang dipilih menjadi lokasi penelitian yakni Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder yang diperoleh dari Dinas Pertanian dan Badan Pusat Statistik Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Metode analisis yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dan model VAR. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan produksi dan harga cabai merah di Provinsi Sumatera Utara pada periode Januari 2018 hingga Desember 2020 pada umumnya memiliki kecendrungan yang berfluktuatif. Produksi cabai merah, luas panen cabai merah, harga cabai merah dan harga benih cabai merah berpengaruh nyata terhadap produksi cabai merah terutama guncangan produksi cabai merah itu sendiri. Konsumsi cabai merah, harga komoditas pengganti yaitu cabai rawit dan inflasi berpengaruh nyata terhadap harga cabai merah terutama guncangan harga cabai merah itu sendiri. This research was conducted in 2022 under the guidance of Mrs. Desi Novita, S.P, M.Si and Mr. Mhd. Ilham Riyadh, S.P, M.Si, Agribusiness Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra. The purpose of this study was to determine the development of red chili production and prices in North Sumatra Province from 2018 to 2020 and to determine the factors that influence the production and prices of red chilies in North Sumatra Province. The area chosen to be the research location is North Sumatra Province. The data used is secondary data obtained. The analytical method used in this research is descriptive method and VAR model. The results showed that the development of red chili production and prices in North Sumatra Province in the period January 2018 to December 2020 generally had a fluctuating trend. Red chili production, harvested area of red chili, price of red chili and price of red chili seeds have a significant effect on red chili production, especially the shock of red chili production itself. Consumption of red chili, the price of substitute commodities, namely cayenne pepper and inflation have a significant effect on the price of red chili, especially the price shock of red chili itself.
