Kata Kunci: Pemanas air tenaga surya, Laju aliran air, Kolektor parabolic, Pipa coil ABSTRACT A cylindrical parabolic type solar water heater is one of the many types of water heaters that use solar energy. The heat received by the cylindrical parabolic is focused on a single focal point to heat the water. The shape and curvature of the parabolic collector is very influential on the performance of the solar water heater. To find out the performance, a test is carried out by varying the amount of water flow rate to find the best efficiency. This test was carried out using a tank with a capacity of 100 liters of water with operating times starting from 10.00 WIB to 16.00 WIB, with data collection during 30 minute intervals. The variations of the water flow rate used are 1.2 LPM, 1 LPM, and 0.8 LPM. From the test, it was obtained that the highest solar radiation intensity was 499.1 W/m2 and the lowest solar intensity was 371.45 W/m2 , with an average solar intensity received in the 0.8 LPM flow rate variation test of 435,008 W/m2, at 1 LPM flow rate of 430.69 W/m2 , and at a flow rate of 1.2 LPM of 440.76 W/m2 . For the highest average efficiency at a flow rate of 0.8 LPM it was 8.61%, at a flow rate of 1 LPM it was 8.43%, and at a flow rate of 1.2 LPM it was 8.37%. It can be concluded that the intensity of solar radiation and the speed of the flow rate greatly affect the final temperature of the water, the smaller the water flow rate, the higher the efficiency that will be obtained.
