dc.description.abstract | ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi arus las SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) terhadap ketangguhan pengelasan pada sambungan las Stainless steel 304. Untuk bahan pembuatan industry kuliner,hotel,rumah sakit atau tempat makanan khusus bayi. Pengelasan SWAM dengan menggunakan variasi elektroda.Sifat baja sendiri mudah terkorosi jika berinteraksi dengan air laut,maka diperlukan bahan lain yang memiliki sifat tahan karat yang bagus seperti steinless steel. Steinless steel yang biasanya digunakan adalah baja Stainles Steel 304 karena memiliki sifat ketahanan terhadap korosi intergranular mengikuti pengelasan. Untuk hasil uji tarik pengelasan dengan menggunakan Stainless steel 304 dengan arus pengelasan 75 ampere memilki nilai uji tarik yaitu 1140 kgf/mm2. Kata Kunci : pengelasan,SMAW,SS 304,sifat mekanik,ketangguhan ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of variations in SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) welding currents on welding toughness in 304 Stainless steel welded joints. For materials for the culinary industry, hotels, hospitals or special baby food places. SWAM welding using a variety of electrodes. The nature of the steel itself is easily corroded if it interacts with seawater, so other materials that have good corrosion resistance are needed, such as stainless steel. Stainless steel which is usually used is Stainless Steel 304 because it has resistance to intergranular corrosion following welding. For the results of the welding tensile test using Stainless steel 304 with a welding current of 75 amperes, the tensile test value is 1140 kgf/mm2.
