Abstract: This research is concerned with the race discrimination in Tony Kushner’s movie script Lincoln. The analysis focuses on the types of race discrimination: the direct and the indirect of race discrimination and the negative impacts of race discrimination adopted from Liliweri (2018: 398). This research used descriptive qualitative research. The one adopted in the research are proposed by Khotari (2005), Sherman and Web (1988), and Bogdan & taylor (1975). The finding shows that the direct and the indirect race discrimination comes from some practices, policies, and rules contained in the United States 13th amendment. The negative impacts of race discrimination are slavery and civil war.
