Abstract: ABSTRAK MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI PESERTA DIDIK DENGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KUANTUM (QUANTUM TEACHING) PADA MATERI TERMOKIMIA DI KELAS XI MAS PN BESITANG AZIZAH ANIM niaziza02@gmail.com Kurikulum 2013 digunakan untuk penguasaan kecakapan era milenial maka pembelajaran Kimia di SMA/MA dipandang bukan hanya untuk pengalihan pengetahuan dan keterampilan (transfer of knowledge and skills) saja kepada peserta didik, tetapi juga untuk membangun kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi (analitis, sintetis, kritis, kreatif, dan inovatif) melalui pengalaman kerja ilmiah. Materi dalam termokimia bersifat konsep dan sering dianggap sulit oleh peserta didik. Untuk itu guru/peneliti perlu meningkatkan mtivasi peserta didik dengan melakukan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dalam model mengajar kuantum (Quantum Teaching). Metode penelitian yang dibuat adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) untuk membangkitkan motivasi peserta didik dengan menggunakan model mengajar kuantum teaching, media power point, dan dengan menggunakan pendekatan discoveri serta inquiri juga menggunakan media permainan ular tangga untuk evaluasi diakhir materi . Tujuan penelitian ini adalah agar proses belajar dan pembelajaran berjalan lancar dan terarah sehingga nilai rata-rata kelas untuk materi termokimia ≥ 80,0. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan dilakukan di MAS PN BESITANG Kabupaten Langkat Sumatera Utara, di kelas XI-1 dan waktu penelitian di laksanakan di semester ganjil tahun Ajaran 2018/2019. Hasil dari penelitian untuk motivasi peserta didik adalah persentase rata-rata untuk indikator positif dari siklus I sampai siklus V terdapat peningkatan nilai rata-rata 82,48 berarti lebih besar dari 80,0 artinya tujuan penelitian ini telah tercapai. Material in thermo chemistry is concept and often considered difficult by students. For this reason teachers / researchers need to improve the motivation of students by conducting Classroom Action Research (CAR) in quantum teaching models (Quantum Teaching). The research method created is classroom action research (PTK) to motivate students by using the teaching model of quantum teaching, power point media, and by using the discovery approach and inquiry also using snake and ladder games for evaluation at the end of the material. The purpose of this study is for the learning and learning process to run smoothly and directed so that the class average value for thermo chemical material is ≥ 80.0. This study used a qualitative approach and was carried out in MAS PN BESITANG Langkat North Sumatra, in class XI-1 and the time of the study was carried out in the odd-semestered of the 2018/2019 school year. The results of the research for student motivation are the average percentage for positive indicators from cycle I to cycle V, there is an increase in the average value of 82.48, which means that it is greater than 80.0, meaning that the purpose of this study has been achieved.
